Overview and Scope

The 'lv' tool is a simple, primitive STEP geometry viewing and checking tool.
The current version is a development version. This means that you cannot expect it to be stable, robust, or fast.

The basic application is to load a single STEP physical file, possibly then write a modified STEP physical file, or alternatively display a visual representation of the STEP file's geometry and topology information, where you have some browsing capabilities.

The current implementation supports most of the more popular entities defined in STEP part 42. Unsupported are:

CSG-related entities
edge/shell based wireframes, topologically_bounded wireframes

Also, support for non-part 42 entities is very limited, in particular, draughting is currently unsupported.
